The approach to contemporary art was for Travaglini a natural process, a sensitivity gained from his creative work, which more and more often led him to develop more artistic than design projects. A spasmodic need to exceed the limits of the trade to give free rein to pure emotion, end in itself, exploring the paths of his time.

Several experimentations were made, all with a common denominator: curiosity and desire to express himself.

“Io respiro”

A silkworm that turns into a butterfly, the sublimation of being, everything changes. So the frame of a cult object like the Vespa comes to life for the first time and begins to breathe; an hoarse, creaky, slow and continuous breath, vaguely illuminated, conscious of his destiny. Archaic animal made of star dust, powered by the sky with thin electrical cables like veins in a slow disharmonic movement. “I breathe”.

Kinetic sculpture made from Vespa original frame, cut and reassembled, which lights up and moves through 18 electric motors.

“Bìlico”

Stay in balance is the typical condition of our time that brings us, through the self, into tortuous mental paths, until you land on an improbable seat to see a different and new point of view.

Recovery material, girder and chair.

“Distanze”

Just when you feel networked with the world a sense of solitude surrounds you and illusion collides with reality. The immensity of the variables of the concept of existence and need reveal the distances that separate us from the rest of things, giving us uniqueness.

Welded steel with two suspended semispherical elements, all backlit.
